Courtney Stredder is a versatile marimbist and percussionist based in Ketchum, Idaho, known for her innovative approach to blending art music with contemporary & popular music trends.
A passionate advocate for expanding the marimba’s reach, she enjoys performing in unique settings to bring the instrument into the spotlight and presenting new, engaging works that reveal the marimba’s captivating depth and rich sound.
Courtney's musical path has taken her to the stage with ensembles such as the Boise Baroque Orchestra, 208 Ensemble, Charleston Concert Band, and Summerville Orchestra. As both a soloist and chamber musician, she is recognized for her expressive performances and lively stage presence.
Courtney earned her BM in Percussion Performance from Boise State University, studying under Dr. John Baldwin, and later completed her MM in Marimba Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studied with Nancy Zeltsman.
Beyond the stage, Courtney is a dedicated educator, offering private lessons in the Idaho area. She focuses on helping students discover their unique musical voice, guiding them not only in technique but in artistic expression.
